Take Us North is a single-player narrative adventure/survival game that follows the poignant journeys of migrants and asylum seekers on their way to cross the US-Mexico border. Players assume the role of a migrant guide whose objective is to safely lead a group of migrants through perilous terrain, manage limited resources, and evade Border Patrol and other threats. When the group can rest, they exchange personal stories, memories, hopes, and dreams. The game blends narrative depth and choice, strategic traversal, resource management, and tense stealth mechanics to meaningfully connect players with the migrant experience. Inspired by real-world stories, Take Us North aims to foster greater awareness and empathy around some of the most critical global issues of our time that are unfortunately often reduced in mainstream media to statistics or divisive rhetoric.
